River:

Notable rivers of Barhatta upazila are Kangsh, Bishnail, Dhanaikhali, Larkhali, Golamkhali, Rangadhair, Kaunai, Gorautra, Dhaleshwari etc. The rivers have overflowed and turned into dead rivers or extinct rivers. Kangsh river has changed its course and become one with Golamkhali river.

Bill:

Kalabhagua, Singua, Sakrabil, Pabia, Hilchira, Rangi, Rouha, Dharam, Hariabil, Beer Bandhbil, Chatigaobil, Kalmadharre Doba, Hatia Beel, Rupsha, Chital Dob, Challishkahaniya are notable.

Land:

The land of Barhatta region is formed by Doash and Bele Doash soils. Barhatta Haor and hills, full of rivers, beels and wetlands, lie between these two regions. That is why sometimes heavy rains sometimes submerge. One of the reasons for the submergence is that most of the hilly rivers flow over Barhatta. The river is almost full.
